Cici & Sisi Zodiac and Fairtales Acrylic Stamping Plate Review

Press  Sample

Hey there!  This evening I have a review of a couple sets of plates from Cici & Sisi.  My first Cici & Sisi plates (which I purchased so many years ago) were the typical stainless steel plates but for the last couple years most (if not all) of the plates they have released have been acrylic.  I was sent the set of six Zodiac-themed plates and the two Fairytale-themed plates, focused on Alice In Wonderland and Little Red Riding Home.  I've done eight manis that you can read all about below, along with my thoughts on these plates.

If you haven't tried Cici & Sisi's acrylic plates before, they work exactly like stainless steel plates except that they're thicker than steel plates and more lightweight.  Personally I still prefer standard plates.  These acrylic plates seem to have some texture to them so if I use a thick stamping polish (like Mundos) it seems to stick in the texture and get picked up by the stamper.  That being said, the Cici & Sisi site does say that they work best with their stamper but I do not have that stamper.  Here I mostly used clear stampers and thinner stamping polish.

I do find the designs on these plates pretty adorable, especially the Zodiac plates.  I just wish they covered the whole zodiac (I'm a Sagittarius and there's no plate for me) but maybe the rest will be coming in the future.  It seems they've only done the first four of the year so far so us year-end babies will have to wait.  The price on these is really fair which is nice.  However, if you usually stamp with Mundos, you may have to deal with some unclean scrapes (though I did use Mundo de Unas White for one of these so that wasn't true across the board).  If you're interested in these plates, Cici & Sisi's links can be found below.

$3.99 USD each (Zodiac)
$6.99 USD each (Fairtales)

'Til next time...
